Amelia Earhart 75th Anniversity LE75 (CC)
On 21st May 1932, the American aviator, Amelia Earhart, became the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. She took off from Newfoundland in her Lockheed Vega single-engined monoplane and landed some 15 hours and over 2,000 miles later in a field near Londonderry, Northern Ireland. Amelia's courageous flight estabished her as the acknowledged queen of the air and she became a source of inspiration to many - especially to women. Limited edition of 75. 2" x 1.5" rectangular hinged box.
